We teach the way we were taught. So which is the best way to teach?
First, enough theory. We need to watch demos, we learn from what we see not so much from what we hear.
Secondly, feel the movement, not the exercise. What is its effect ? On me? On the partners?
Thirdly, forget the consciousness! Rather focus on your internal (feet/hands) and the external (the base or the flyer). What are the consequences of your cues?
Finally, gather these three elements: coordination (internal focus), control and skills (external focus).
What is the goal?
The yoga pose is not the goal.Becoming flexible is not the goal. Standing on your hands is not the goal.
The goal is to create space where you were once stuck. To unveil the layers of protection you’ve built around your heart. To appreciate your body and become aware of the mind and the noise it creates. To make peace with who you are. The goal is to love, well… You.
